Through funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development,
海角社区 has begun the construction of a vocational-technical
building at the Santee Campus. The building is scheduled for completion in January
2015. The building space will include two classrooms, two offices and shop space.
海角社区 will use the building initially for its carpentry program with the potential
for expansion of programs into welding and automotive or other areas of need identified
by the community and the college. 海角社区 aims to have carpentry classes beginning in
the spring semester 2015.
